Residents at The Ashton Care Home recently marked Emergency Services Day by showing their appreciation for the people who work hard to keep our local community safe. As part of the celebrations, we visited members of our emergency services to deliver hampers as a small gesture of thanks for their dedication and the support they provide.

Back at The Ashton, residents gathered for a coffee morning, where they learned more about the history of the emergency services and how their roles have changed over the years. It was a chance to share interesting facts, enjoy a cup of coffee and reflect on the important work carried out by these teams.
Later in the day, we were pleased to welcome PCSO Delia Farren, who joined residents for a chat and a cup of tea. Residents enjoyed hearing about her role and having the opportunity to ask questions and talk about her work in the community.

Days like these offer residents the chance to learn something new, connect with people in the local area and recognise the contributions of those around them. Welcoming community visitors also helps maintain these important connections and brings different experiences into everyday life at The Ashton. A big thank you to everyone who helped us celebrate Emergency Services Day and to all those who work tirelessly to support our community.
